Social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has weighed in on the ongoing controversy involving Nollywood actress Doris Ogala and Pastor Chris Okafor, issuing a public warning over her reported arrest.
VDM disclosed that he had spoken with Doris Ogala on the phone shortly before her arrest, claiming he felt uneasy about her safety and decided to reach out to her.
VDM claims he sensed danger
According to VeryDarkMan, he experienced what he described as a strong premonition that something troubling was about to happen to the actress. During their conversation, he said he cautioned her about being careful and fully transparent regarding the issues she had publicly discussed.
“There are some things you should not do, and when you come out to confess, you need to confess fully—100 percent,” he said.
Actress allegedly feared for her safety
VDM claimed that during the call, Doris Ogala expressed fear about what might happen to her and insisted she had evidence relating to her ongoing dispute with Pastor Chris Okafor.
“I don’t know what will happen to me tomorrow,” the actress reportedly told him, adding that she would send him all the evidence in her possession.
Evidence allegedly handed over
In a subsequent video, VeryDarkMan stated that Doris Ogala followed through on her promise and forwarded documents and materials to him. He further alleged that those responsible for her arrest might be attempting to tamper with or destroy evidence on her mobile phone.
Warning issued to Pastor Chris Okafor
VDM issued a direct warning to Pastor Chris Okafor and another individual identified as Jeremiah, stating that he would release all the evidence publicly if the actress is not freed by Tuesday.
“If Doris Ogala does not return home by Tuesday, every piece of evidence she sent to me will be released on social media,” he warned.
Arrest reportedly occurred during livestream
Reports indicate that Doris Ogala was arrested on Saturday evening while participating in a live online broadcast. The livestream was abruptly interrupted when security operatives arrived at her residence.
During the broadcast, the interviewer was heard asking if police officers were present, to which Ogala reportedly responded, “Yes, the police are in my house.”
Public reaction
The incident has continued to generate widespread attention online, with many Nigerians closely following developments. As of the time of reporting, Pastor Chris Okafor has not issued an official response to the claims made by VeryDarkMan.
