Kelvyn Boy Opens Up About Near-Death Accident and Injury

Ghanaian artist Kelvyn Boy has shared his harrowing experience of narrowly escaping a life-threatening accident behind the Center Point Mall, an incident that resulted in a fractured ankle.

In a heartfelt post on social media, the singer recounted the frightening moment when a driver, reversing in the area, lost control and headed straight towards him while he was on the sidewalk.

“A few days ago, God saved me from what would have been the most tragic news all year for me and my people,” Kelvyn Boy wrote, as seen by MyNewsGh.

He explained that the situation could have been much worse if not for the quick thinking and swift actions of his team members, who spotted the danger in time and intervened. "A driver reversing lost control, heading for me at the sidewalk of the very back of Center Point Mall," he said. "God saved me through 2 of my guys who saw it fast and reacted quick enough."

While he avoided a more serious outcome, the artist did sustain an injury, revealing that he fractured his ankle in the incident. Despite the pain, he expressed gratitude for his survival. “But the accident left me with a fractured ankle. Give thanks for life still,” he remarked.

Kelvyn Boy took the opportunity to apologize to promoters and fans for missing some scheduled shows due to his injury. "To promoters, whose shows I’ve missed, my sincerest apologies to you and most importantly the fans," he said.

He also urged event organizers to work closely with his management team to reschedule any missed performances. “Kindly coordinate with management to fix new dates,” he added.

Looking ahead, the artist expressed his determination to honor upcoming performances, even if it means performing with the aid of crutches. “And to the few ones ahead before the end of the year. I’m racing against time, I’ll be there (with crutches if need be) to rave,” he assured his fans. “Nothing’s gonna stop us now!”

Kelvyn Boy concluded his message with a reminder to value life and remain grateful. "Stay safe, always be thankful for life," he urged.
