The Ghana Police Service has arrested three individuals in connection with a disturbing viral video showing a two-year-old child being fed an alcoholic beverage at Kade in the Eastern Region.
In a statement issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on December 20, 2025, the Police said the arrests followed intelligence-led operations conducted by the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team.
The suspects have been identified as Tawiah Precious, also known as T’ Moni, aged 18; Emmanuel Dadzie, popularly called Shapiro, aged 24; and Stephen Amoako, aged 22, who is the father of the child. They were arrested on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Okumah, a suburb of Kade.
According to the Police, the operation was the result of sustained intelligence gathering after the video circulated widely on social media.
The Police also confirmed that the child has been rescued and placed under protective care. The two-year-old victim has been handed over to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) in Asamankese, pending reunification with the child’s mother.
All three suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to be arraigned before court. Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to track down two additional suspects identified as Afram Bright, also known as Mogabe, and another individual known as Panyin, who are said to be on the run.
The Ghana Police Service assured the public of its commitment to protecting vulnerable persons, especially children, and urged citizens to report any form of abuse for prompt action.
