What began as a brief hotel stay reportedly turned into a nightmare for a man in Abuja after a woman he checked in with allegedly disappeared overnight with his car and other personal belongings.
The incident occurred on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at a hotel in the Asokoro area of the Federal Capital Territory. According to reports, the man had invited a woman, identified as Precious Chinyere, for a short stay. However, the situation reportedly took an unexpected turn later that evening when she allegedly left the hotel room without his knowledge.
By the following morning, the man discovered that several valuable items were missing, including his car, mobile phones, a laptop, and other personal effects.
Shocked by the development, he promptly reported the matter to the police. The spokesperson for the Abuja Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed that the case is under investigation and assured the public that efforts are ongoing to track down the suspect and recover the stolen items.
