Parliamentary proceedings turned theatrical today as the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, led a walkout during an appearance by the Bank of Ghana Governor. This infuriated the Chairman of the Finance Committee, Isaac Adongo, who accused the Minority Leader of orchestrating the walkout for social media clout .
"The drama is provided when he is on his feet. He will leave the questions and will be talking about the 24-hour economy... He is seeking sound bites... we see them on TikTok," Adongo fumed . The Majority insisted they would not allow the Minority to derail proceedings for "drama" and viral content.
