Musician Showboy, whose real name is Sam Sarfo, has drawn widespread condemnation after posting a video begging TikToker Asantewaa to sleep with him. In the now-viral clip, he claimed that Dancegod and Armani had already been intimate with her, leaving him as the only one excluded.
The remarks, delivered in Ghanaian street slang, have been described by many social media users as disrespectful and indicative of a pattern of clout-chasing behaviour.
Showboy, a former AMG Business member who served time in the United States for assault before being deported, has a history of generating controversy online.
Asantewaa, who is married and one of Ghana's most prominent TikTok personalities, has not responded publicly. The incident has renewed discussions about the treatment of female influencers in Ghana's entertainment industry and the ethics of social media engagement driven by shock value.
