Alhaji Karim Grusah, the influential bankroller of King Faisal Football Club, has offered some sage advice to Ghana’s newly appointed Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams. Speaking during an interview on Accra-based Sporty FM, Grusah urged Adams to remain vigilant and “put his ears to the ground” to succeed in his new role.
According to Grusah, by staying informed and actively listening to the key players within the sports community, Adams will be equipped to perform effectively in the ministerial position that President John Dramani Mahama has entrusted to him.
“I believe if the minister listens carefully, he will do well. E.T. Mensah was a man of integrity who had a deep understanding of football, and we should be honest with the current minister as well. I’ve already congratulated him,” Grusah remarked.
President Mahama has tasked Minister Kofi Adams with revitalizing the Black Stars, Ghana's national football team, and restoring them to their former glory. This call for a return to excellence has been echoed by prominent figures such as Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who described the Black Stars' current state as a disgrace and urged Adams to bring in the best technical expertise to rebuild the team.
Grusah’s message is a call for collaboration and attentiveness, essential qualities for ensuring the success of Ghana’s sports sector under Adams' leadership.
