Family Announces Date for Akua Donkor’s Funeral

The family of the late Akua Donkor has officially announced the date for her final funeral rites.

Akua Donkor, the flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party, passed away on October 28, 2024, just ahead of the 2024 elections. Her untimely death shocked many, as she had made a significant impact in the political arena despite her limited formal education.

Though deceased, Donkor remained on the ballot during the elections, with her votes ultimately counted as spoilt ballots.

The family has confirmed that her burial will take place on March 29, 2025, at Ejuratia in the Ashanti Region.
