The Black Stars have suffered a massive off-pitch blow. Thomas Partey has been denied entry into Canada, meaning he will officially miss Ghana’s 2026 World cup.
FIFA confirmed the decision, which stems from Canada’s strict immigration laws regarding individuals facing criminal proceedings. Partey, who is currently on bail awaiting trial in the UK on rape charges (which he denies), was stopped from traveling with the squad from Boston to Toronto.
