A young two-year-old girl lost her life after being trapped in a house fire that happened in Cantonments, Accra, Susanna Lodge.
The fire started in the afternoon when the child was inside the house, however, emergency officials arrived on the scene, unfortunately, they pronounced the little girl dead on arrival.
The deceased’s body was handed over to the Cantonments Police for proper procedure.
Ghana National Fire Service will give more information about the case, the cause of the fire, as well as the procedure for emergency response.
The tragic incident has prompted renewed calls for responsibility for fire hazards, especially in residential houses, where young children stay. More news will follow.
