Some individuals who claim to be students of Adeleke University have reportedly raised concerns about the living and learning conditions within the institution, despite the significant tuition fees students are said to pay annually.
The concerns surfaced in a video currently circulating on social media, where a complainant alleged that students at the university pay at least ₦2.5 million per year in tuition and related fees but still experience serious difficulties on campus. According to the message shared online, many students feel frustrated about what they describe as inadequate welfare and poor campus facilities.
In the video, the individual criticized the institution’s management, claiming that students are forced to endure harsh conditions while paying substantial fees. The complainant described the situation as one where students are “suffering and smiling,” suggesting that despite the financial commitment required to study at the university, the quality of services provided to students does not match expectations.
Among the key issues raised were allegations of inconsistent access to essential amenities such as water and electricity. The complainant claimed that these basic services are often unavailable, making it difficult for students to carry out daily activities or attend lectures comfortably. The lack of reliable utilities, according to the message, disrupts students’ academic routines and overall well-being.
Additionally, the complainant alleged that the university’s food services and healthcare facilities are insufficient for the needs of the student population. Students who rely on campus-provided meals and medical services reportedly face challenges due to what was described as inadequate quality and limited availability.
Another concern highlighted in the video is the fear among students of speaking publicly about these issues. The complainant claimed that many students hesitate to voice their grievances because they worry about potential disciplinary action. According to the message, some students believe that openly criticizing the institution could lead to serious consequences, including possible expulsion.

As part of the appeal, the individual called on Nigerian music star Davido to bring attention to the situation. The singer’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, is the founder of the university. The complainant urged Davido to speak with his father in hopes that the alleged issues affecting students would be addressed.
As of the time of reporting, the university administration has not publicly responded to the claims circulating online. The allegations continue to spark discussions across social media, with many users calling for clarification and improvements to student welfare at the institution.
