Yoruba nation activist Sunday Igboho has stirred massive political debate online after openly declaring his support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 Nigerian presidential election.
In a statement that has now gone viral across social media, Igboho strongly backed Tinubu for a second term and warned opposition politicians not to bring their campaigns to Nigeria’s Southwest region.
According to him, the region stands firmly behind Tinubu and will not welcome rival presidential candidates during the upcoming election campaigns.
Speaking passionately in the circulating clip, Igboho also mentioned opposition figures such as Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, telling their supporters to stay away from the Southwest during election activities.
“Tinubu for second term — don’t bring anyone. And when he finishes the second term, we will even attempt a third term and more. Don’t bring your candidates to the Southwest,” he said.
