Power Shift in Iran? Mojtaba Khamenei Reportedly Emerges as Successor to Supreme Leader😲😲

Reports circulating online claim that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, has been selected as the country’s next leader following alleged strikes by the United States and Israel that reportedly killed his father. While the claims continue to spread across social media, official confirmation from Iranian authorities has not yet been widely verified.

According to the reports, Iran’s Assembly of Experts—an influential council made up of 88 senior clerics responsible for choosing the Supreme Leader—has already named Mojtaba Khamenei as the successor. The body has only made such a decision once since the Islamic Republic was established in 1979, when Ali Khamenei himself was chosen after the death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

Mojtaba Khamenei was born on September 8, 1969, in Mashhad and is the second of Ali Khamenei’s six children. He received his early education at the Alavi School in Tehran before continuing his Islamic studies in the religious city of Qom.
