Ghana’s Criminal Investigations Department has revealed disturbing details of an alleged online drug-and-assault syndicate operating from East Legon, Accra.
According to police, a 36-year-old entrepreneur was arrested after investigators discovered a secret Telegram platform where female victims were allegedly drugged with Xanax, assaulted, and secretly recorded. Authorities say the videos were then distributed online without consent.
The CID also seized phones, laptops, memory cards, and other digital devices now undergoing forensic examination. The shocking case has triggered outrage across social media, with many demanding stronger cybercrime laws and harsher punishment for offenders.
