Chaos at NPP Office: Party Activist Allegedly Beaten During Election Filing in Tarkwa Nsuaem

Tensions have erupted within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency following a shocking alleged assault at the party’s office.

According to eyewitness reports, Francis Kwakye Amprofi, a known party social media activist, was attacked while submitting his polling station election forms last Friday.

The incident allegedly involved the Constituency Youth Organiser, Kwadu Sam, alongside individuals said to be bodyguards linked to former MP George Mireku Duker.

Witnesses claim the confrontation began when one of the bodyguards, identified as Sani, accused Amprofi of making critical remarks about him and the former MP. When Amprofi reportedly demanded proof, the situation quickly escalated.

Moments later, tensions flared further as Amprofi stepped outside. Upon re-entering the premises, he was allegedly verbally assaulted before the situation turned physical. Two individuals—Sani and another identified as Adiaba—are accused of attacking him, with reports indicating he was slapped, shoved to the ground, and nearly struck with an object. The Youth Organiser is also alleged to have joined in the confrontation.

Bystanders eventually intervened, rescuing Amprofi and rushing him to safety.

The case has since been reported to the police, and the victim is currently receiving medical treatment. However, no arrests have been made so far, raising serious concerns about accountability and the safety of party members amid ongoing internal electoral activities.

The incident has sparked outrage within the constituency, with increasing calls for a thorough investigation and swift disciplinary action.
