Ghanaian evangelist and ex-hiplife star Yaw Siki has shared a powerful story about the tragic accident he says transformed his life and led him to Christ.
In an interview on Angel FM, Kumasi, he recalled that the incident happened after a meeting in Accra. He and his colleagues had gathered at the Accra Mall for a show planning session before setting off for Tema later that night, around 10 p.m., with him seated in the front seat.
According to him, the journey took a dangerous turn shortly after they passed the toll booth. He drifted into a brief sleep and woke up to hear a friend complaining about the driver’s conduct. Though he brushed it off at first, he soon became unconscious.
Moments later, the vehicle was involved in a serious crash, leaving him with a broken neck. The frightening experience, he said, became a major turning point that pushed him to abandon his old lifestyle and fully commit to his faith.
Yaw Siki also expressed heartfelt appreciation for the support he received during his recovery. He revealed that notable Ghanaian musicians such as Sarkodie, R2Bees, and Kwaw Kese were present when he regained consciousness.
He believes surviving the crash was not by chance, but a divine encounter that completely redirected his life.
