Member of Parliament for Akim Swedru, , is calling for a bold shake-up within the NPP — and it’s already sparking serious conversations.
According to him, party officers who fail to perform their duties should automatically lose their positions.
In a strong statement, he urged the committee working on a new operational manual for party officials to include strict rules that enforce accountability. His proposal? Any elected or appointed officer who neglects their responsibilities should be removed instantly and barred from participating in party decisions.
He stressed that for too long, some individuals only appear during internal elections, only to abandon their roles afterward — a practice he believes is hurting the party’s effectiveness.
Kennedy Osei Nyarko also suggested that if necessary, the party’s constitution should be amended to give this proposal legal backing.
Do you agree with this tough stance? Should non-performing leaders be removed automatically? 👇
