Manchester City delivered a ruthless second-half performance to defeat Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, throwing the Premier League title race wide open and piling serious pressure on Arsenal.
After a quiet and cagey first half, Pep Guardiola’s side came alive after the break, scoring three goals in just 17 minutes to seal a dominant win in London.
Nico O’Reilly opened the scoring in the 51st minute, continuing his impressive run in front of goal. Just six minutes later, Marc Guéhi doubled City’s lead with his first Premier League goal for the club, calmly finishing into the far corner.
Chelsea’s night went from bad to worse in the 68th minute when Moisés Caicedo made a costly mistake, losing possession in a dangerous area. Jérémy Doku pounced instantly and fired home to make it 3-0, completing a humiliating defeat for the Blues.
Despite showing some promise in the first half—with chances from Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto, and Marc Cucurella—Chelsea failed to maintain their level after the break and were punished by a sharper, more clinical City side.
