Former Attorney-General and Special Prosecutor, , has stirred major controversy after publicly criticizing the Attorney-General’s legal arguments in the ongoing Supreme Court case on Act 959.
In a strongly worded open letter, Amidu accused the Attorney-General of presenting contradictory arguments and misrepresenting both facts and the law in court.
One of his biggest concerns? The claim that the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) is a juridical person.
💬 “That argument is simply wrong,” Amidu stated.
According to him, prosecutorial power lies in the individual Special Prosecutor—not the office itself.
