A heated moment on live TV has stirred fresh political debate in Ghana 🇬🇭
During a discussion on Joy News’ AM Show, Presidential staffer Nana Yaa Jantuah made a bold claim about past encounters between former President Nana Akufo-Addo and President John Dramani Mahama.
According to her, Mahama was repeatedly ignored by Akufo-Addo at public events. She recalled a specific incident at a funeral where Mahama stretched out his hand for a handshake, but Akufo-Addo allegedly walked past him without acknowledging it.
However, former Greater Accra Regional Minister Titus Glover strongly disagreed, defending Akufo-Addo. He argued that such moments should be viewed within the broader context of political rivalry, where both sides have had their differences.
This revelation has sparked mixed reactions, with many Ghanaians debating whether political tensions should override basic public courtesy.
💬 What do you think — should political rivals still show respect in public?
