From Humble Beginnings to Heartfelt Giving: MFK's Journey of Purpose and Philanthropy

Media personality Maame Frimpomaa Korankye, widely known as MFK, recently marked her birthday not with a lavish party, but with a heartfelt act of kindness at Cherubs Orphanage in Santasi Apire, Kumasi. Her visit wasn’t just about celebration—it was a moment of reflection on her inspiring journey from financial struggle to becoming a beacon of hope for orphaned children.

During the event, MFK opened up about how her philanthropic journey began in 2019, at a time when she had little more than determination. With just 500 Ghana Cedis to her name, she made her first donation—placing cash in envelopes for children at an orphanage because she couldn’t afford gifts or supplies.

“In those days, I couldn’t do much. I had no means to buy anything significant, so I simply gave what I could. Even then, I was often relying on help from others. But I never let go of my desire to give back,” she shared.

MFK's unwavering commitment to giving has continued to grow. Today, she’s able to provide more meaningful support, helping children in ways she once only dreamed of. Her birthday celebration at the orphanage was filled with joy, laughter, and gratitude—a testament to how far she has come.

Reflecting on her life, MFK emphasized the importance of gratitude and purpose.

“We started this life journey with many people, but not everyone is still with us. If God has blessed me with another year, then I must show my thanks by helping others,” she said.

Her journey is a compelling example of how faith, resilience, and a giving heart can transform even the smallest resources into life-changing impact. MFK continues to inspire with her story—a powerful reminder that it’s not how much you have, but how much you’re willing to give that truly defines your legacy.

In a motion filed by his legal team, Ofori-Atta argues that the OSP's actions violate the principles of administrative justice, specifically the right to a fair process and the protection of his personal dignity.
