Media personality Daddy Freeze has weighed in on the ongoing debate surrounding popular streamer Peller, criticizing those urging the content creator to abandon his online career and return to school.
Reacting to the advice being given to Peller, Freeze pointed to American YouTuber IShowSpeed as an example of the massive earning potential in the digital content industry. He claimed that IShowSpeed reportedly makes about $800,000 monthly from YouTube and still considers the amount modest compared to the work he invests.
Using the figure to drive home his point, Freeze argued that many people encouraging Peller to focus on academics may not earn anywhere near such sums annually. According to him, it makes little sense to pressure a thriving digital creator to leave a lucrative platform for a traditional path that may not offer the same financial rewards.
Freeze acknowledged that formal education remains essential in certain professions such as medicine, law, engineering, and pharmacy, where university training is mandatory. However, he questioned whether the same standard should apply to individuals already succeeding in creative and digital industries.
His remarks have sparked widespread reactions online. While some social media users agreed with his stance, saying success in today’s world is no longer limited to classroom education, others insisted that higher education provides stability, structure, and long-term security beyond internet fame.
The conversation also comes weeks after IShowSpeed visited Nigeria during his African tour to mark his 21st birthday. During the visit, Peller reportedly attempted to meet the American streamer but was allegedly turned away by security.
As opinions continue to pour in, the debate highlights the growing tension between traditional education and the rapidly expanding opportunities within the global digital economy.
