Playing his first home game in Los Angeles, Mathurin erupted for 38 points, delivering a statement performance that underscored his immediate impact since arriving at the trade deadline.

Mathurin, obtained in a deal with the Indiana Pacers earlier this month, displayed efficiency and poise throughout the evening. He converted 12 of 22 field-goal attempts and consistently attacked the rim while capitalizing from midrange. His offensive outburst provided the Clippers with critical momentum at several junctures, particularly during a tense fourth quarter in which neither team was able to create significant separation.
