Fresh information has surfaced regarding the activities of Yaytseslav, a Russian national whose controversial videos involving Ghanaian women have sparked widespread outrage online.
Yaytseslav, identified as Vyacheslav Trahov, became a trending topic in Ghana after clips of his encounters with several women circulated on social media on February 12, 2026. Many of the videos reportedly showed him approaching women in public areas, particularly around Accra Mall, before later inviting them to his residence.
Allegations of Secret Recordings
According to multiple reports, the Russian content creator allegedly recorded private interactions with the women using Meta smart glasses, purportedly without their consent. Edited excerpts of the recordings were shared on platforms such as TikTok and YouTube, while longer versions were reportedly uploaded to a private Telegram channel accessible through a paid subscription.
The videos triggered intense public backlash, with many Ghanaians raising concerns about privacy violations and questioning how such activities could have taken place undetected.
Initially, Yaytseslav concealed his identity in the clips. However, Ghanaian vlogger Clement Nana Asamoah of Gossips24 Avenue later claimed to have revealed his identity, sharing footage that allegedly showed his face.
Social Media Takedowns and Account Actions
Amid the growing controversy, the content creator deleted the videos from his TikTok account and made the page private. Reports indicate that Telegram also removed the disputed content, while his TikTok account was eventually banned following mass complaints from users.
In a message allegedly shared on his private Telegram channel, Yaytseslav claimed he deleted certain videos after being approached by two individuals in Ghana. He further stated that he had left the country and expressed dissatisfaction with his experience there, contrasting it with what he described as a more positive stay in Kenya.
Claims of Wider Operations
In a YouTube broadcast, Clement Nana Asamoah alleged that Yaytseslav had been involved in similar activities for several years and may be part of a broader network operating internationally. These claims, however, remain unverified.
The controversy has intensified discussions around consent, digital privacy, and the ethical boundaries of content creation.
Cyber Security Authority Response
The Cyber Security Authority has reportedly initiated steps to investigate the matter. A communications director of the agency outlined ongoing efforts to examine the allegations and cautioned members of the public against sharing the explicit footage, warning that doing so could have legal consequences.
As investigations continue, the case has become a focal point in Ghana’s broader conversation about online safety, privacy rights, and accountability in the digital age.
