A Nigerian woman has sparked widespread backlash online after making a bold and controversial statement directed at married women, warning them to treat their husbands well or risk losing them.
In a viral video, the woman claimed that many financially stable single women are deeply frustrated by their marital status, a frustration she suggested could lead to inappropriate behavior if provoked.
“People like us have money, but we don’t have husbands, and it is painful,” she said.
She went on to caution married women whom she believes take their husbands for granted, asserting that she would not hesitate to pursue another woman’s spouse if given the opportunity.
“If you have a husband and you don’t know his value, I will take him from you. You will only hear that I borrowed your husband for two weeks,” she stated.
Mixed Reactions Online
The statement quickly generated intense reactions across social media platforms. Many users condemned her remarks, describing them as insensitive and disrespectful to the institution of marriage.
One commenter wrote, “So because you’re single and wealthy, another woman’s marriage should suffer?” Another added, “This isn’t boldness; it’s entitlement and a lack of boundaries.”
However, a smaller group of users argued that her comments reflect the emotional frustration some single women experience but are often unwilling to express publicly.
Advice to Married Women
Concluding her remarks, the woman urged wives to treat their husbands “like kings” and show them respect, warning that failure to do so could make them vulnerable to outside interference.
The video continues to circulate online, fueling debate about relationships, entitlement, and respect within marriage.
