Ghanaian cleric Apostle Nana Kwarteng Amanfo has shared what he describes as a troubling prophecy concerning Ghana’s economic future under President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
In a video published on his YouTube channel on Sunday, February 8, 2026, the preacher recounted a vision he claimed to have received from God regarding the country’s economic direction. During the broadcast, Apostle Kwarteng also referenced a previous prophecy he said he delivered during the tenure of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo under the New Patriotic Party (NPP), prior to the 2024 general elections.
According to Apostle Kwarteng, the vision showed President Mahama in a cheerful mood, attending an event with his associates in a luxurious vehicle. He further claimed that he saw birds feeding on maize planted on a farm bearing the Ghanaian flag, which he interpreted as a symbolic warning about the nation’s economic resources.
The cleric went on to assert that the NDC had been granted a 12-year mandate to govern the country but cautioned that individuals within the party, driven by ulterior motives, could undermine the government’s efforts. He warned that such internal sabotage could lead to severe consequences for Ghana’s economy if not addressed.
The prophecy has since sparked conversations and debate among Ghanaians on social media, with many expressing mixed reactions to the message and its implications for the country’s future.
