Odo Broni’s Brother and Mother Appear at Luxury Mansion as Daddy Lumba Estate Dispute Continues

A video showing the brother and mother of Daddy Lumba’s widow, Odo Broni, standing in front of a sprawling mansion has sparked renewed public interest in the ongoing legal dispute over the late musician’s estate.

The footage, which has been widely shared on social media, features Odo Broni’s brother, Akonta Prince, and their mother, popularly known as Aunty Cece, posing calmly in front of the expansive property. The video surfaced amid unresolved legal tensions between Daddy Lumba’s two wives, Odo Broni and Akosua Serwaa, over control of the highlife legend’s reported assets.

Ghanaian music icon Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, known professionally as Daddy Lumba, passed away on July 26, 2025. Following his death, a legal battle ensued between his two wives over who should be recognised as his lawful spouse and who has the right to administer his estate.

Akosua Serwaa initially filed a case at the Kumasi High Court seeking to be declared Daddy Lumba’s sole legal wife, but the court dismissed the application. She later filed another suit requesting letters of administration to manage the late musician’s estate. That application was also stalled after lawyers for Odo Broni, together with her daughter, Charlyn, applied for Akosua Serwaa’s name to be removed as one of the applicants.

Questions Over Ownership of the Mansion

As the legal battle continues, a list of properties allegedly owned by Daddy Lumba has circulated on social media. The list reportedly includes houses located in Dome, West Legon, Tantra Hill, and East Legon; portions of land in areas such as Tantra Hill, Kasoa Toll Booth, Tuba, Amasaman, Tesano, and Kwadaso; as well as business interests including DL FM and DL Water in Accra.

According to claims attributed to Akosua Serwaa, the assets under dispute were valued at approximately GH¢10.8 million, with her share estimated at about GH¢5.4 million.

The emergence of the viral video has prompted speculation among social media users about whether the mansion featured belongs to Odo Broni’s family or forms part of Daddy Lumba’s contested estate. While no official confirmation has been made regarding the ownership of the property, the footage has intensified public discussion around the inheritance dispute.

Family Reactions

Meanwhile, children of Akosua Serwaa have previously addressed public speculation surrounding the case. In a statement, they dismissed claims that they had distanced themselves from their mother and reaffirmed their support for her ongoing legal efforts to assert her rights in the matter.

As the case continues to unfold in court, public attention remains firmly fixed on developments surrounding the late musician’s estate and the families involved.
