Prophet ElBernard Apologises After Failed Prediction on NPP Presidential Primaries

Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun has issued a public apology following the outcome of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries, admitting that his earlier prophetic declarations were inaccurate.

In a statement released to the public, Prophet ElBernard acknowledged that he had wrongly predicted the outcome of the primaries. He explained that through a book, videos, and several media interviews, he had declared that Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would emerge victorious and become the NPP’s flagbearer.

“That word did not come to pass. I missed it. I was wrong,” he admitted. “I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness.”

The prophet recognized the influence of his public declarations and the effect they may have had on his followers and the wider public. According to him, many people placed trust in his prophetic authority and were affected emotionally, spiritually, and politically by the failed prediction.

“I acknowledge this with humility,” he stated.

Taking full responsibility for the prophecy, Prophet ElBernard stressed that he does not blame any individual or circumstance for the outcome. He apologized particularly to those who made decisions based on his declaration and were disappointed or negatively impacted.

“I take full responsibility for this prophetic word,” he said. “I sincerely apologize to everyone who trusted my word and was hurt, disappointed, or affected in any way.”

Reflecting on the experience, the prophet said it has prompted a period of self-examination and renewed commitment to accountability and discernment in how prophetic revelations are communicated publicly.

“This moment has caused me to pause, reflect, and realign myself in accountability and discernment,” he noted. “I remain committed to integrity, growth, and truth.”

He concluded by extending a heartfelt apology to believers in Ghana and beyond, particularly those who may have been discouraged or whose faith was shaken as a result of his actions.

“I humbly ask for your forgiveness,” he said. “I am grateful to those who have corrected me and continue to pray for me.”
