Woman Arrested After Attempted Arson at Pastor Agyemang Elvis’ Church


A woman has been arrested after she was caught on camera allegedly attempting to set fire to the Grace Mountain Ministries auditorium, the church associated with popular Ghanaian preacher Pastor Agyemang Elvis.

The incident occurred on Monday, February 9, at the Alpha Hour Auditorium and was foiled by the church’s security team before it could escalate into a major disaster.

Attempted Arson Caught on Camera

According to eyewitnesses and video footage circulating on social media, the woman was seen moving around the largely empty auditorium while pouring a flammable liquid believed to be petrol or kerosene on chairs and other church property.

Moments later, parts of the auditorium caught fire, resulting in the destruction of several items. Fortunately, church activities were minimal at the time, a factor that likely prevented injuries or loss of life.

Swift Security Response Prevents Major Damage

The church’s security personnel acted promptly after noticing the suspicious activity. Their quick intervention contained the fire before it could spread further or cause significant structural damage to the building.

The suspect was apprehended at the scene and subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation.
