Kanye West Fuels Industry Plant Allegations Against Doechii

On April 26, 2025, Kanye West stirred up controversy once again—this time by weighing in on ongoing industry plant allegations aimed at rising rapper Doechii.

During a recent livestream, which was abruptly shut down just ten minutes in and led to his ban from Twitch, the Yeezy founder mentioned Doechii while discussing the concept of industry plants. His remarks, caught and circulated by the Twitter account "Kanversation," reflected his usual blend of conspiracy theories and provocative commentary.

“No knock to—Man, who is Doechii?” Kanye questioned during the broadcast. “Is that how you say her name, Doechii? That’s what I’m saying. As soon as Doja Cat, who’s talented, crazy, this and that. As soon as she start popping on this Nazi s**t, whatever she do…”

West’s mention of Doja Cat was likely a reference to a past controversy involving her wearing a Sam Hyde T-shirt—Hyde being a comedian with alleged far-right affiliations. Although the connection to Doechii was unclear, West seemed to group her into a broader narrative of industry manipulation.

Doechii Responds to the Allegations

Despite the unexpected callout, Doechii appears unfazed. In a February interview with The Cut, the Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) signee addressed similar accusations directly.

“Once you get any conspiracies around your career, that’s just confirmation that I’m going somewhere and doing something right,” she said. “When people aren’t familiar with the history of an artist these days, they get suspicious. I’m pretty detached emotionally from it because I understand where it’s coming from.”

She emphasized her long-standing dedication to music and the disconnect between public perception and her actual journey. These latest comments from Kanye are unlikely to shift her focus or disrupt her momentum.

Kanye’s Pattern of Provocation

Kanye West continues to blur the line between critique and controversy. Known for targeting public figures—including his own family—West’s erratic commentary often overshadows the topics he tries to highlight. Whether Doechii chooses to respond directly or not, her career trajectory suggests she’s more focused on her craft than on conspiracy chatter.

Ken Ofori-Atta Files Legal Action Against Special Prosecutor Over 'Wanted Person' Label

Former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, has taken legal action against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), seeking an injunction to prevent the agency from continuing to label him as a “wanted person” or “fugitive from justice.” This legal move comes after Ofori-Atta's image and personal details were publicly displayed on the OSP's official social media pages, despite earlier assurances made in a letter dated February 18, 2025. In a motion filed by his legal team, Ofori-Atta argues that the OSP's actions violate the principles of administrative justice, specifically the right to a fair process and the protection of his personal dignity. Additionally, Ofori-Atta seeks an interlocutory injunction to stop the OSP from issuing any further press releases or public statements that ...
