Kemi has publicly accused Ronke of attempting to poison her mother, an ordeal that nearly claimed her life and led to her hospitalization. Reflecting on the painful experiences within her family, Kemi also spoke of the deep sorrow she felt after the loss of her brother, Tayo, who passed away in 2021 at the age of 51. She blamed her father's actions for hindering her brother's potential, sharing her grief over the impact it had on his life.
"I know my purpose and I know what God intended for me. They tried to suppress my story, but they couldn’t. However, they did destroy Tayo; they took my brother’s future. Tayo, who died at 51, was a part of the ‘Ali Must Go’ car with me. Remember, he lost almost half of his brain and was paralyzed for 43 years, enduring seizures without a means of livelihood. He was buried after passing in 2021. Tayo could have been a great mathematician, but his destiny was ruined," Kemi explained emotionally.
Additionally, Kemi recounted the difficult period during her father's final years when his health began to deteriorate following a stroke in 2021. She claimed that her stepmother, Ronke, had severely limited access to Dr. Olunloyo, making it impossible for the family to communicate with him in his last days. "In the final stages of Daddy's life, no one was allowed to see him after his stroke in 2021. We couldn’t even speak to him on the phone because Ronke denied everyone access," she said, expressing the pain of being cut off during such a critical time.
Kemi’s statements reflect both the personal and emotional toll that these family conflicts have had on her, illustrating the complexity of the relationships that defined her family's struggles.
