A Nigerian gold vendor has made a public cry for help after an employee allegedly stole her entire stock of gold and jewelry, worth millions of naira, and fled with it. The distressing incident was shared in a viral post on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), where the vendor detailed her shocking ordeal.
In the video, the distraught woman can be heard shouting as she recounts the theft that has left her devastated. She explained that she had employed a woman to assist in her shop as part of her usual business operations. However, this decision resulted in the loss of everything, as the employee reportedly absconded with all of the gold and jewelry in the store.
The vendor is now desperately seeking help from the public to locate the woman, sharing a photo of the suspect along with the video. In her emotional plea, she expressed her disbelief and heartbreak: “Please help me. I don’t know what went wrong. I hired a staff just like everyone else. She took everything—my gold, my investments, everything I’ve worked for.” She further added, “I don’t deserve this, I’ve been so good to her.”
