Newlywed Man Killed, Wife Abducted by Gunmen in Nasarawa State


 

A fresh wave of fear has gripped Akaleku village in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State following a brutal attack by unidentified gunmen, which left a newly married man dead and his wife abducted.

According to reports, the assailants stormed the village around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, targeting the couple—Mr. and Mrs. Alu Anzaku—who had just celebrated their wedding on April 12, 2025. Eyewitnesses confirmed that the attackers shot Mr. Anzaku on the spot before abducting his wife.

The incident has sparked panic across the community, with locals fearing for their safety. The whereabouts of Mrs. Anzaku remain unknown, and efforts to trace her have yet to yield any results. Concerned family members and friends have appealed to authorities to intensify rescue operations and bring the perpetrators to justice.
