Church Men Are Not Making the First Move, Says Lady During Sermon, Sparks Online Debate

A woman has stirred widespread reactions on social media after candidly sharing her frustrations about dating as a church-going woman during a sermon.

While speaking to her pastor in what has now become a viral video, the lady explained that women in the church are often taught not to pursue men but to wait for men to approach them. According to her, this belief has left many single women anxious, as the men within the church rarely make the first move.

She lamented that time and age are becoming major concerns for women who are faithfully waiting, yet see little initiative from church men.

“We are taught to wait for the man to come because we cannot go after a man. Now we are getting older, and time is not on our side,” she said.

Comparing church men with those outside the church, the woman noted that men who are not deeply religious tend to be bolder and more confident, even at a younger age. She pointed out that it is common for a 20-year-old man outside the church to openly express interest, an experience she says is rare among men within the church.

“We are spiritual, we love Jesus, and it is already difficult to bring these guys to church, yet the church boys are not coming either,” she added.

She concluded by asking her pastor what could be done to address the situation, especially since most of the men who show interest in her and other church women are not spiritually inclined. According to her, this creates a dilemma between maintaining faith-based standards and responding to genuine romantic interest.

Her remarks have since generated intense discussions online, with many women relating to her concerns and sharing similar experiences. The debate has centered on how to balance faith, attraction, and modern dating expectations within the church community.
