Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries, also known as Grace Nation Liberation City, has stirred reactions online after opening up about a deeply painful chapter of his personal life involving his failed marriage.
The cleric revealed that he once caught his former wife with another man, an experience he described as emotionally devastating and one that took him years to recover from.
A video of Pastor Okafor recounting the incident to his congregation has resurfaced on social media and is currently gaining attention. The clip, shared by Instagram blogger Temilola Sobola, has sparked widespread discussion among viewers.
According to Pastor Okafor, the incident occurred when he unexpectedly returned home from a trip. He explained that while traveling, he felt compelled to turn back for reasons he could not initially explain. Upon arriving home earlier than anticipated, he was confronted with a scene that changed his life.
He disclosed that his immediate younger brother—whom he described as his only biological sibling—was present with him at the time and witnessed the incident firsthand. During the church service, Pastor Okafor invited his brother to the altar to confirm the account.
The pastor further revealed that he was only about 22 or 23 years old when the incident happened. He explained that the betrayal left him deeply broken and emotionally scarred, requiring a long period of healing.
In his words, he explained that the woman involved, now his ex-wife, was someone who became attracted to his spiritual calling without having a solid Christian foundation. He admitted that the experience profoundly affected him and shaped his outlook on relationships and ministry.
Pastor Okafor’s candid testimony has since generated mixed reactions online, with many expressing sympathy, while others continue to debate the appropriateness of sharing such personal experiences from the pulpit.
