Prophet Roja Predicts Political Turmoil for President Mahama and NDC Government in 2026

Ghanaian cleric Prophet Samuel Henry, popularly known as De Lighter Roja, has issued a troubling prophecy concerning President John Dramani Mahama and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government in 2026.

Speaking during a Boxing Day Watch Night service at Roja City International Ministry in Accra on Friday, December 26, 2025, Prophet Roja claimed he had received a spiritual vision indicating betrayal and internal discord within the government during the president’s second year in office.

According to the prophet, influential individuals close to President Mahama would allegedly turn against him, triggering events that could negatively affect the stability and public image of the government.

“Let us pray. I am seeing betrayal in the NDC government. In the realms of the spirit, in 2026, the people around the president will betray him,” Prophet Roja told his congregation.

He further claimed that a major public scandal would emerge, exposing hidden secrets and creating significant political challenges for the administration.

Prophet Roja, who rose to prominence after previous prophecies—some of which his followers believe were fulfilled—said the developments he foresaw would unfold publicly and attract nationwide attention.

Mixed Public Reactions

The prophecy has sparked widespread debate among Ghanaians, with reactions ranging from skepticism to cautious agreement. While some social media users questioned the credibility of the claims and called for specific names to be mentioned, others argued that internal power struggles are common in ruling governments and should not come as a surprise.

One commenter noted that betrayal and political rivalry are inevitable in governance, while another likened the situation to biblical examples of betrayal, urging the president to remain vigilant and prayerful.

Contrasting Prophecy on a Third Term

Interestingly, Prophet Roja’s latest warning comes just weeks after he confidently predicted that President Mahama would serve a third term in office, despite constitutional limitations. During an interview on Angel TV on December 4, 2025, the prophet stated that this outcome would occur “barring unforeseen circumstances,” hinting at undisclosed political arrangements taking place behind the scenes.

When challenged on the apparent contradiction between the president’s public commitments and his prophecy, Prophet Roja acknowledged the uncertainty but maintained that the outcome was inevitable.

Growing Trend of Prophetic Claims

Prophet Roja is not the only religious figure to have issued warnings about President Mahama’s political future. Earlier reports also cited Prophet Bediako, who cautioned the president against seeking another term beyond the constitutionally mandated limit, warning of national consequences should such a move be pursued.

As Ghana approaches another critical phase in its political journey, these prophetic declarations continue to fuel public discussion, highlighting the enduring influence of religious voices in the country’s socio-political landscape.
