The Nigerian Army has officially dismissed Lance Corporal Samuel Emmanuel after he was found guilty of involvement in an armed robbery. The disciplinary action followed a court-martial held earlier this week at the 16 Brigade Garrison.
In a statement released by the Army, it was confirmed that the soldier was found guilty after a thorough investigation and military legal proceedings. Lance Corporal Emmanuel, previously attached to the 16 Brigade Garrison, has been discharged from military service.
“He has been officially dismissed from the Nigerian Army following his involvement in a case of armed robbery,” the statement read. “After a comprehensive investigation and due military process, he was found guilty and discharged from the Regiment.”
The Nigerian Army reiterated its commitment to upholding discipline and maintaining zero tolerance for criminal behavior among its personnel. It emphasized that all members of the force are expected to adhere to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
Following his dismissal, Lance Corporal Emmanuel was handed over to the Nigerian Police Force for further legal action.
