A representative of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued strong criticism against former President John Dramani Mahama, asserting that he has not made any significant contributions warranting public acclaim.
Speaking during an interview on Angel FM, the NPP spokesperson challenged the track record of the former president, arguing that he failed to deliver on several key promises made to the Ghanaian people. She particularly addressed the issue of the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy), which remains a contentious topic in national discourse.
“The National Democratic Congress (NDC) recently claimed to have abolished the E-Levy, but that is simply not true. The levy is still in effect, just being enforced more discreetly,” she stated.
The communicator further contended that Mr. Mahama’s tenure lacked meaningful achievements and cautioned the public against accepting political rhetoric without scrutiny.
Her comments have sparked a wave of reactions from political analysts and the general public, especially as debates surrounding economic policy and the E-Levy intensify in the lead-up to the next general elections.
