Nakuru, Kenya – James Ng’ang’a, Managing Director of Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services Company (Nawassco), has found himself in the middle of a scandal after being caught in a hotel room with Emmaculate Mueni, a married junior staff member.
The discovery was made by Mueni’s husband, Duncan Mwangi, who arrived at the hotel with officers from the Free Area Police Post after filing a formal complaint (OB No. 7/03/2025) suspecting an affair between the two.
Mwangi told police that he had been suspicious since 2013, citing late-night calls and frequent communication between his wife and the MD.
Mueni, a Customer Care Officer, was previously dismissed over an unauthorized trip to Uganda. However, she was reinstated after Ng’ang’a assumed office, with several benefits including salary increments, committee appointments, and access to sensitive company documents.
The incident has sparked public outcry and raised concerns about abuse of power and ethical conduct within the company.
