Kwame Baffoe, widely known as Abronye DC, has reignited tensions with Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong, accusing him of funding a coordinated effort to damage the reputation of former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
During a recent broadcast of his political talk show on Ohia TV, Abronye claimed that Kennedy Agyapong is financially backing several online platforms—most notably “Ken’s TV”—to push narratives that discredit Dr. Bawumia. He alleged that these media outlets are being used to systematically attack and undermine the former Vice President in a bid to sway public opinion.
According to Abronye, the goal of this alleged campaign is to erode Dr. Bawumia’s credibility while indirectly advancing Agyapong’s own political interests. He further accused Kennedy Agyapong of maintaining a public image of innocence by publicly distancing himself from the attacks, all while quietly funding them from behind the scenes.
“He wants Ghanaians to think he has no part in these smear campaigns, but the truth is, he’s both the sponsor and the strategist,” Abronye stated.
These fresh accusations add fuel to a longstanding rivalry between the two outspoken members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), both of whom have previously declared intentions to seek the presidency.
As of now, Kennedy Agyapong has not issued a response to Abronye's latest claims.
