Inside the Sean "Diddy" Combs Trial: Key Testimonies and Allegations of Abuse, Trafficking, and Coercion

NEW YORK — The federal sex crimes trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is nearing its conclusion, with the jury soon set to decide his fate. Combs faces multiple charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all counts.

Over the course of seven weeks, more than 30 witnesses — including former romantic partners, hotel staff, sex workers, and federal agents — testified in a case that alleges Combs led a criminal enterprise involving trafficking, drug offenses, and abuse.

The prosecution rested on June 24. The defense presented no witnesses and concluded in under 30 minutes. Closing arguments are scheduled for June 26–27.

Here are the major revelations from the high-profile trial.

Cassie Ventura Fine: Shame, Guilt, and a $20 Million Settlement

Singer Cassie Ventura Fine, Combs’ ex-girlfriend, testified in May, describing years of alleged physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. She recounted her participation in so-called "freak offs" — drug-fueled sexual events involving multiple partners — and detailed incidents of violence.

Ventura Fine explained her decision to testify: “I can't carry the shame, the guilt, anymore.”

After their 2018 breakup, Ventura Fine sued Combs in 2023, alleging rape, trafficking, and assault. The lawsuit was settled within a day for $20 million, paid by Combs and his companies.

Alleged Drug Overdose and Addiction

Ventura Fine testified that in 2012, Combs was hospitalized for an overdose involving a potent opiate. She described extensive drug use during their relationship, including ketamine, cocaine, and ecstasy.

Violence Witnessed by Others: Stylist Deonte Nash Testifies

Stylist Deonte Nash testified that he frequently witnessed Combs assaulting Ventura Fine. He said he once helped her hide in a hotel after Combs allegedly threatened to distribute explicit videos to her family’s workplaces. Nash recalled Combs turning his home upside down looking for her.

Former Assistant "Mia" Alleges Repeated Rape

A former personal assistant known only as “Mia” testified that Combs raped her while she worked for him between 2009 and 2017. She said she feared saying no to any request, including something as simple as making a sandwich, fearing retaliation.

Ex-Girlfriend "Jane": Drug Use, Coercion, and Sexual Exploitation

A woman identified as “Jane,” who dated Combs from 2021 to 2024, testified that she was coerced into participating in extended sexual encounters involving escorts. She described a birthday night in 2023 where she was pressured to have sex with three men to please Combs.

Jane said Combs continued to pay her $10,000 monthly rent and legal fees as part of a "love contract" that he proposed. Her testimony sparked audible gasps when she confirmed that he still funds her lifestyle.

Hotel Staff Reports on Baby Oil and Room Damage

Hotel staff at high-end properties such as L’Ermitage Beverly Hills and the London Hotel testified about Combs’ excessive use of baby oil and candles, often requiring deep cleaning. Notes in hotel records mentioned the need for extra charges to cover damages and repeated use of air fresheners outside his rooms.

Federal agents testified they found 200 bottles of baby oil at Combs’ Los Angeles home and 25 bottles during a raid at his Miami mansion.

Cassie's Mother Testifies to $20,000 Payment to Combs

Regina Ventura, Cassie’s mother, said she wired $20,000 to Combs when he allegedly threatened to release explicit tapes of her daughter. She later received the money back. She also provided jurors with photos of Cassie’s bruises from a 2011 assault.

Kid Cudi Testifies About Intimidation and Property Damage

Rapper Kid Cudi, who briefly dated Ventura Fine, testified that Combs broke into his home in 2011. Cudi returned to find his dog locked in the bathroom and gifts for his family opened. He also recounted a 2012 incident in which his car was set on fire — an act Ventura Fine claimed Combs had threatened.

Security Officer Details $100,000 Payment to Suppress Assault Video

Eddy Garcia, a former security guard, testified that Combs paid him $100,000 in cash for a surveillance video capturing an alleged assault on Ventura Fine at a hotel in 2016. Garcia said Combs told him the footage “could ruin” him and warned not to make “big purchases” to avoid attracting attention.

Final Remarks

Combs’ trial has revealed disturbing allegations, with graphic details emerging about abuse, coercion, and control. With testimony complete, the jury will now deliberate on a verdict that could have significant legal and cultural repercussions.

Ken Ofori-Atta Files Legal Action Against Special Prosecutor Over 'Wanted Person' Label

Former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, has taken legal action against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), seeking an injunction to prevent the agency from continuing to label him as a “wanted person” or “fugitive from justice.” This legal move comes after Ofori-Atta's image and personal details were publicly displayed on the OSP's official social media pages, despite earlier assurances made in a letter dated February 18, 2025. In a motion filed by his legal team, Ofori-Atta argues that the OSP's actions violate the principles of administrative justice, specifically the right to a fair process and the protection of his personal dignity. He is requesting the immediate removal of his name from the OSP's list of wanted individuals and a court order to prevent the agency from reinstating it without prior judicial approval. Additionally, Ofori-Atta seeks an interlocutory injunction to stop the OSP from issuing any further press releases or public statements that ...
