Car Erupts in Flames After Crashing Into Bar in Westland

A car was completely engulfed in flames on the afternoon of Saturday, June 28, 2025, after it veered off the road and crashed into a bar located in the Westland area.

According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle began reversing uncontrollably before careening off the road and smashing into a bar attached to a residential building. Moments after the collision, the car caught fire.

Thanks to the swift actions of bystanders, the driver was rescued from the vehicle just seconds before it was overtaken by flames.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded promptly and successfully extinguished the fire. However, the vehicle was entirely destroyed, reduced to a burned-out shell.

Fortunately, no fatalities or serious injuries were reported. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and the subsequent fire.
