In a truly astonishing tale of survival, a gold dealer from Assin Fosu in Ghana’s Central Region has recounted how he walked away nearly unharmed after being shot at eight times during a failed robbery.
Speaking to Crime Check TV, the dealer, Kwaku Amos, revealed that a group of armed robbers ambushed him and fired multiple rounds at close range. Remarkably, not a single bullet hit or injured him.
“They shot me eight times, but nothing happened. Not even a scratch,” Amos said, still visibly shaken but grateful.
Frustrated by the failure of their weapons, the attackers reportedly tried to use a machete to harm him. Once again, Amos escaped unscathed. It was only when one of the assailants struck him in the face with the butt of a pump-action shotgun that he sustained an injury—damaging his right eye.
“They slashed at me with a machete, but it didn’t work. Eventually, one hit me in the face with the gun, and that’s how my right eye got injured,” he explained.
Confused and frightened by Amos’s seeming invincibility, the robbers ultimately fled the scene. Police have since arrested the suspects, who remain in custody as investigations continue.
While many have hailed Amos as a hero, he humbly credited his survival to both spiritual protection and divine grace.
