A Nigerian man, Louis Nwachukwu, was found dead in a hotel room under unclear circumstances in the Mpape area of Abuja, prompting a police investigation.
According to hotel staff, Louis checked into the hotel with a woman identified as Helen Raymond. The pair reportedly arrived together and showed no signs of distress or conflict.
Helen, who is now assisting police with investigations, stated that after she and Louis engaged in sexual activity, he fell asleep and failed to wake up.
“I tried to wake him up, but he was unresponsive,” she told authorities.
Concerned about his condition, she alerted the hotel’s management, who immediately contacted the police and emergency medical services. Paramedics confirmed that Louis Nwachukwu had died before their arrival.
His body has been transferred to a local morgue for autopsy, which will determine the exact cause of death.
Police have launched a formal investigation into the incident. So far, no foul play has been confirmed, but authorities say they are exploring all possibilities.
Helen remains in police custody to assist with ongoing inquiries. The case has sparked public concern and raised questions about the events leading up to Louis’s sudden death. Further updates are expected as the investigation continues.
