Akosua Serwaa’s Lawyer Criticizes Daddy Lumba’s Family Head Tupac

Lawyer William Kusi, representing Maame Akosua Serwaa, has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the recent court ruling that recognized both women involved in the ongoing legal dispute as wives of the late highlife legend, Daddy Lumba.

In a statement on the matter, Lawyer Kusi voiced his disagreement with the court's decision and rejected the allegations that the marriage certificate presented by his client was forged. He affirmed that the legitimacy of the marriage between Daddy Lumba and Maame Akosua Serwaa has never been in question.

Kusi also took issue with the remarks made by Kofi Owusu, known as Tupac, the Abusuapayin (family head), accusing him of misrepresenting the facts regarding the marriage certificate. The lawyer vehemently denied the claim that the certificate was fabricated, calling it both unfounded and unjust.

“It is well-known that Daddy Lumba and Maame Akosua Serwaa were married, so suggesting that her marriage certificate was manufactured is completely unacceptable,” Kusi stated.

The lawyer further criticized Tupac for exacerbating the situation, accusing him of attempting to organize the late musician’s funeral without consulting key family members.

“He has significantly contributed to the rising tensions by trying to arrange the funeral without involving close relatives,” Kusi added.
