Singer OliveTheBoy has responded to the viral stage fall that recently occurred during his performance, describing it as a common hazard of live performances.
“Yeah, it was just a slip. I noticed the stage was slippery, but I still went for it,” he explained.
OliveTheBoy emphasized that such incidents are part of an artist's journey, something every performer eventually faces. “As I enter the industry, I’ve been anticipating my own moment. I see it as something that happens to every artist from time to time,” he said in an interview on Hitz FM.
Despite the fall, he was unfazed. “It wasn’t even funny for me. In that moment, I thought, ‘Okay, so this is the moment,’ and then I just moved on,” he shared.
When asked if performers anticipate mishaps before stepping on stage, he responded, “When you’re on stage, anything can happen. I could fall, get booed, anything. It’s all part of the job.”
OliveTheBoy also stated that stage safety is not the artist’s responsibility. “It’s not our job to ensure the stage is safe. If others aren’t doing their part, you just have to be prepared for anything,” he concluded.
