Lawyer Martin Kpebu has questioned former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s ability to attract Ghana’s floating voters in future elections.
Speaking on TV3’s KeyPoints, Kpebu said Bawumia’s leadership style and record in office make him less appealing to independent-minded voters. He cited the former Vice President’s perceived indecisiveness on key national issues and his alleged inaction on corruption reports, including mismanagement at the Northern Development Authority (NDA).
“He tries to please everybody. If you want to please everyone, go sell ice cream,” Kpebu said. “Such a candidate does not resonate with floating voters, who often decide election outcomes.”
Kpebu’s comments highlight growing scrutiny of Bawumia’s presidential prospects amid concerns about economic management and political conviction.
