She Sees Herself as a Queen Mother” — Ansa-Asare Slams Former Chief Justice Over Alleged Abuse of Legal Process
Veteran lawyer Mr. Kwaku Ansa-Asare has sharply criticised Ghana’s former Chief Justice, accusing her of arrogance and undermining the integrity of the judiciary.
Speaking on the KSM Show, which was monitored by MyNewsGh, Mr. Ansa-Asare described the former Chief Justice’s conduct as an “abuse of process,” arguing that her actions since leaving office have disrespected the dignity of the judicial system.
“You were given the opportunity — you presented your case, were heard, cross-examined, and re-examined. Then you turn around to claim the whole process was flawed and refuse to accept it? Only infantile minds behave that way,” he stated.
The outspoken lawyer went further to liken the former Chief Justice’s attitude to that of a traditional ruler, saying she carries herself as if she were a “queen mother.”
“If you observe her current posture, it’s like that of a queen mother. The reverence attached to the office seems to have gone to her head,” he remarked.
Mr. Ansa-Asare lamented that some public officials allow the power and prestige of high office to cloud their humility and service to the state.
“It’s unfortunate when people let the office define them, rather than serving the office with humility,” he said.
