Nigerian music star Ruger has voiced serious concern over the growing security threats across the country as the festive season approaches.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Ruger sounded an alarm about the increasing rate of kidnappings, warning Nigerians and tourists to be extra cautious during the widely celebrated “Detty December” period.

“Stay Safe, Stay Alert” – Ruger Urges Nigerians

Highlighting the dangers that often come with the end-of-year rush, Ruger urged the public to make safety a top priority when planning travel or attending events.

“I’m genuinely scared for people this December,” he wrote, referencing the spike in abductions during peak travel and holiday seasons.

The artist stressed that while December is typically filled with parties, travel, and social gatherings, these events can also present opportunities for criminal activity if people let their guard down.

A Call for Caution During the Festive Rush

Ruger’s message comes amid broader national concern over insecurity, with reports of kidnappings increasing in several states. His warning is particularly timely as thousands prepare to travel and gather for concerts, weddings, and end-of-year celebrations.

“Plan well. Stay vigilant. Protect yourself and those you love,” Ruger advised.

His post has since gone viral, with many users thanking him for using his platform to spotlight the issue.

A Reminder for a Safe “Detty December”

While the holidays are meant to be a time of joy, togetherness, and celebration, Ruger’s cautionary words serve as a reminder that personal security should never be taken for granted.

As Nigerians gear up for the end-of-year festivities, staying aware and making smart decisions could be just as important as having fun.
