Investing in Youth: The Most Sustainable Pathway for Growth and Development – Northern Regional Minister
The Northern Regional Minister, Mr. Ali Adolf John Mburidiba, has emphasized that investing in young people represents the most sustainable path toward Ghana’s long-term growth and development.
Speaking at the 5th Annual National Young Entrepreneurs Summit (YES 2025), held in Tamale on Thursday, Mr. Mburidiba underscored the importance of empowering the youth and creating an enabling environment that nurtures innovation and entrepreneurship. The summit was held under the theme, “Resetting Ghana: The Role of Youth Entrepreneurship in National Renewal.”
According to the Minister, several flagship government initiatives — including the Adwumawura Programme, the National Apprenticeship Programme, the 24-Hour Economy, and the Decentralisation of the Regional Industrialisation Programme — are strategically designed to equip young entrepreneurs with the skills, resources, and support needed to succeed in today’s competitive economic landscape.
Mr. Mburidiba urged Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs), development partners, and other key stakeholders to extend their support to the Ghana Chamber of Youth Enterprise, noting that collaboration is essential for building a resilient and inclusive economy.
He encouraged young entrepreneurs to take advantage of available opportunities, think beyond their immediate environments, and leverage their creativity to drive innovation. He further advised them to transform their businesses into ventures that not only achieve success but also inspire hope and contribute to national renewal.
The summit served as a vital platform for young entrepreneurs to share experiences, learn from one another, and engage meaningfully with policymakers and stakeholders committed to youth development and entrepreneurship.
